About Us

Our Vision

D.A.V.I.S is a charitable organization, based in the city of Detroit, that looks to develop a comprehensive neighborhood, landscape, and streetscape planning strategy to provide a diversity of housing options, elevate economic vibrancy, and improve the overall landscape and open space strategy for neighborhoods in Detroit and neighboring surrounding areas.

Our History

Our history began in the city of Detroit, in the neighborhood near the 1967 riot. With just a rack, shovel and a broom we set out to help keep the community clean and bring new talent to our community. We began to attend every community meeting throughout the city to find resources to bring back to our community. Day by day we educated ourselves on which resources to target and we equip ourselves with knowledge to operate with diligence. Our community is transitioning to a better Detroit to serve the generations after.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to establish a team of individuals with a diversity of skill sets that will be inclusive of team members that are Detroit-based, minority-owned businesses/organizations, women-owned businesses/organizations, and/ or otherwise have a substantive body of knowledge and/or experience within  the city of Detroit.
